With this new set of  "absolute
black"  watches, Jaquet Droz also offers a unique luxury trunk
This was a difficult technical feat, according to the firm, because the case horns needed to be curved to retain the firm’s silhouette. Plus, since the ceramic actually shrinks during firing, the firm’s already unusual dial had to be carefully measured so as to fit the customized case.
The remaining seven models are equally enticing: an additional Grande Second edition; a new Astral Date model; a Grande Second with decentralized dials and a crown set at 4:30 rather than 3; a mono-pusher chronograph with an off-centered hour-minute subdial; a large date model with its hour/minute dial set at 12 o’clock; a Marine model and a quantieme perpetual.
On the latter complication, serpentine hands indicate the month, day and date, while Lancine hands measure hours, minutes and seconds.
These models are included in the firm’s new Ligne
Noir Absolu, made with grand feu enameled dials.
Note the ceramic black case above.
